Industrial Visit to Coca-Cola Factory

On June 8th, 2024, the final year students from the Department of BBA under the iLEAD School of Business had an opportunity to visit the Coca-Cola factory in Kolkata. During the tour, the students explored various departments related to the manufacturing of the popular soft drink Coca-Cola. They had an overview of the manufacturing process including the water treatment plant, automated bottling unit, quality checking and more.

The students also learned about the history of Coca-Cola, the worldwide market share and other information related to the renowned soft drink and its success in the industry.

The visit provided the students with great exposure, making this a highly informative and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Visit to Mio Amore Factory

The Corporate Relations Team of iLEAD organised an industrial visit to the factory of the popular cake and confectionery brand Mio Amore. The factory is located at the Kasba Industrial Estate, Kolkata.

Every year iLEAD organises industrial visits for their students to several places to deliver students with the best practical knowledge. A group of over 15 students from the iLEAD School of Business participated in the visit accompanied by a group of six mentors. The students departed for the visit from iLEAD campus at 11:30 am.

Students had a chance to visit the production units of different food items offered by Mio Amore during the visit. They were given a tour of the entire factory. The students also got information and clear view on the standards they maintain, the entire process of production of the food items, and they also got to know about the distribution procedure as well.

Visit to TV9 Bangla

The students of the M.Sc Media Science batch visited the studio of TV9 News Channel on May 5th, 2024.
The students of M.Sc in Media Science got first-hand experience and demonstration from the TV9 team about news broadcasting, camera operations, and the studio setup. The students also got a great opportunity to experience real-time studio activity at TV9 Bangla.
The Placement Cell of iLEAD arranged the visit to TV9 News Channel. The students also got the chance to interact with the studio members and the journalists of TV9 Bangla.

Visit to Rajbari Bawali

The students of the iLEAD School of Creativity visited RajBari Bhawali, a heritage property standing tall for more than 300 years on August 24, 2023. The visit made the students of BBA in Travel and Tourism understand the importance rural tourism in West Bengal, heritage tourism, restoration of heritage properties, and how to build an ecosystem that can generate employment for the local people through rural tourism. The Rajbari focuses on the culture of West Bengal and the age-old traditions that were followed by generations. Besides, the place maintains the legacy of traditional Bengali cuisine.

Visit to TV9 Bangla

The students of the iLEAD School of Creativity visited the studio of TV9 News Channel on August 16th, 2023. This visit was a part of the Orientation Week.
The students of M.Sc in Media Science got first-hand experience and demonstration from the TV9 team about news broadcasting, camera operations, and the studio setup. The students also got a great opportunity to experience real-time studio activity at TV9 Bangla.

Visit to Studio 13, Tollygunge

The students of the iLEAD School of Business visited the Indrapuri Studio, Tollygunge on August 8th, 2023. The students of the Department of Film & Television visited the film sets at the Studio 13. The students learned how the film sets are constructed, all the parameters related to film sets, how the production designer designs an entire film set, and more.
Tanmoy Chakraborty, the famous production designer helped all the students to visit the film sets and how the studio works. It was a successful visit to the Studio 13, Tollygunge. The participation of enthusiastic students made the visit to be a successful one.

Visit to Netaji Indoor Stadium- Image Craft Photo and Video Expo

Visit to the Image Craft Photo and Video Expo at Netaji Indoor Stadium was arranged on August 10th, 2023 by iLEAD School of Creativity. More than 60 new students from B.Sc and M.Sc in Media Science attended the event.
It was the grand launch of SONY India’s first full-frame vlogging camera ZVE1. Famous personalities like Mr. Dhritiman Mukherjee (Wild Life Photographer), Mr. Aninda Chakraborty (YouTuber), Mr. Dipta Shankar Bakshi (The Lazy Bong, YouTuber), and Mr. Anirban Brahma (Wedding Photographer) were present there at the event as guests.

Visit to the Sports Authority of India (SAI)

The students of the iLEAD School of Business had a visit to Sports Authority of India (SAI) Kolkata on their departmental Orientation week on August 10th, 2023. A team of 18 new students from the Department of Sports Management went for a visit to SAI Kolkata.
The students visited the Academics Building where they got to visit the Library, Archery room, Table Tennis Room, and more. Also, the students got the opportunity to meet two archery players who are playing at the National level. They have let the students visit the athletics room, basketball court, boys and girls hostels, and the golf court too.

Visit to Peerless Hospital

The newly enrolled students from the iLEAD School of Science & Technology went for a visit to Peerless Hospital as part of their orientation on August 9th, 2023.
The students from the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology attended the field visit and they were provided with a comprehensive overview with the cooperation of the hospital’s administrative staff.
It was an informative visit for all the students as they were enlightened with invaluable information and got an opportunity to experience the workflow of a renowned hospital.

Visit to Medica Super Speciality Hospital

The students of the iLEAD School of Science & Technology visited Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Mukundapur on August 9th, 2023 during the Orientation week. A team of 30 new students enrolled in the course of Hospital Management attended the field visit.
The workflow of different departments of the hospital was experienced by the students. The Oncology building of Medica Hospital was inaugurated on August 3rd, 2023, so the students got an opportunity to visit the new Oncology building.

Field Visit to Centre for Sight

On September 1st 2022, students from the Optometry department of iLEAD had the opportunity to visit the Centre for Sight, an eye hospital at the AJC Bose Road, Kolkata.
Centre for Sight is a Mahindra Collaboration with around 50 eye care centres across India. The students at the visit got to witness the operations of an eye hospital. They were also given firsthand knowledge of various equipment used by eye care professionals. They received a general idea about the functioning of an eye care facility.

Newtown SmartCity Visit

iLEAD arranged a field visit to the Newtown SmartCity on August 9th, 2023. The field visit was set up for the students ofiLEADSchool of Science and Technology. More than 60 students went to the Newtown SmartCity visiṭ.
After reaching SmartCity, students first met the Newtown Kolkata Development Authority. The students visited the Integrated Command and Control Centre first where they got to see the ways of keeping track of the entire Newtown area like how the whole area is tracked using CCTV cameras, and the garbage waste ratio that is collected from the residents of Newtown.

Visit to SP Diagnostics

The students from the iLEAD School of Science and Technology organized a visit to SP Diagnostics, Newtown, Kolkata, during the Departmental Orientation week on August 9th, 2023.

A team of 20 students from Medical Lab Technology had a great experience there at the diagnostic centre.

They had an understanding of the laboratory and also learnt details regarding the different equipment and instruments used in the diagnostic center.

Field Visit to Bhagirathi Neotia Hospital

A field trip to the New Town facility of Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre was organized by iLEAD. Students from the Allied Health department visited the hospital for a practical demonstration of the real hospital environment. The opportunity let students observe work in the departments of OPD, IPD, Radiology, Diagnostic, ICU, NICU, PICU, Emergency, and also Pharmacy. The field trip was organized for first-year allied health students who received exposure to hospital operations for the first time in a practical environment.

Coca Cola Factory at Taratala, Kolkata

Coca Cola, one of the premiere soft drinks in the world marked its entry in India back in 1950. The management students of iLEAD got the opportunity to visit their plant at Taratola, Kolkata. It was an enriching experience for the students as they got first hand exposure to the line of manufacturing along with knowing about various operations and production of Coca Cola. They got to learn about the various processes and methods involved and also about the planning and quality control of the brand.

Industrial Visit to S.A. Exports

It is Kolkata’s largest and most advanced seafood processing unit. With a state of the art water treatment facility, the Government of India recognized unit is located within 30 minutes of distance from the airport. The students along with the faculty members were received warmly by the authorities and the students were given a tour of the entire plant along with making them understand the entire processing of the unit. It was a great learning experience for the students.

Visit to SOTC Travel Limited

This industry visit exposed the students to real practices of the travel industry. They got to learn from the desk of SOTC about how travels are curated and packages are planned by renowned travel agencies. The students learned about travel specifications, nuances of international and national holiday packages, and destination planning from the professionals at SOTC. This had been a great exposure for the students of travel and tourism at iLEAD.

Visit to Drs. Tribedi & Roy Diagnostic Lab

Dr. Subhendu Roy himself briefed the students. He talked and demonstrated about how a medical laboratory works and made the students understand various hematology, and biochemistry analysis devices in the laboratory. It was an enriching experience for the students of B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology.

Field Visit to The Aircraft Museum

The iLEAD students had the opportunity to visit the Aircraft Museum at New Town, Kolkata. The Aircraft Museum is the first such museum in West Bengal and the 2nd one in India after Vishakhapatnam. The Aircraft Museum is a joint initiative by the Indian Navy and the Government of West Bengal and is created to showcase the maritime history of India to the general public and students. Students at the museum witnessed various submarines and aircrafts that were used by the navy but now are decommissioned.

Field Visit to Centre for Sight

Centre for Sight is a Mahindra Collaboration with around 50 eye care centres across India. The students at the visit got to witness the operations of an eye hospital. They were also given firsthand knowledge of various equipment used by eye care professionals. They received a general idea about the functioning of an eye care facility. The 1st semester students of Bachelor in Optometry visited the Centre For Sight eye centre.

Field Visit to Ruby General Hospital

iLEAD has a tie up with Ruby General Hospital and the hospital visit was the first learning activity for our students on the part of the association. The 1st Semester students of BBA Hospital Management, BSc in Medical Lab Technology and BSc in Medical Instrumentation and Critical Care Technology had visited the Ruby General Hospital on 26th August 2022. Ruby General Hospital is NABH Accredited and an ISO 9001:2015 hospital, which is the first hospital that has instituted “Patients Bills of Rights”. The hospital’s Advanced Diagnostic service is backed by 24×7 NABL Accredited Pathology.

Industry Visit at Balmer Lawrie

Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. is a Government of India Enterprise engaged in diversified business with presence in both manufacturing and service businesses. The company is engaged in the business of Industrial Packaging Greases & Lubricants Leather Chemicals Logistic Services and Infrastructure Refinery & Oil Field and Travel & Vacation Services in India. The students received an on site practical experience through the industrial visit.

Media Science Students Visit TV9 News Channel

The studio visit helped the students to witness real time studio activity in a mainstream news channel. This added to the knowledge of students, especially the ones who aspire to become journalists in the electronic media. The visit was organized by the Placement Department of iLEAD in which students also got to interact with the TV9 journalists and studio members. It was an enriching experience for the students of Media Science who are now set to start their career as freshers in the highly competitive media industry.
