Founded in 2010 by Chairman Mr. Pradip Chopra as a CSR initiative of the PS Group, iLEAD was created with a clear purpose: to build an institute where talent meets industry-ready training, without compromise.
What began as a future-focused institute in management and sciences has since expanded across media, design, technology, films, and allied health, evolving into one of Kolkata’s most industry-connected, recognised academic institutions.
Today, iLEAD is a multi-disciplinary institute with award-winning programs, advanced studios and labs, multiple campuses, and strong global collaborations, designed to stay aligned with how industries actually work.

An entrepreneur, educator and thought leader, Mr. Pradip Chopra is the Chairman of iLEAD and Director of PS Group of companies. After graduating from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, in 1973, he pursued multiple part-time courses in General Management, Hotel Management, and German language. Passionate about education, Mr. Chopra has built a legacy in real estate, education, and youth development. He dedicates around six hours daily to teaching students at St. Xavier’s College and J.D. Birla Institute. Mr. Chopra regularly speaks at industry forums and mentors thousands of young professionals and startup founders. He has authored several books on real estate, management, personal growth, and life skills. Some of his articles have appeared in major national publications, including The Hindu, The Statesman, Times of India, Hindustan Times, and The Telegraph. As a convener of UDAAN, he leads the scholarship initiative providing 100% scholarships to deserving yet financially disadvantaged students nationwide, regardless of their background. Mr. Chopra also serves as the President of the Murshidabad Heritage Development Society (MHDS). His leadership philosophy focuses on empowering young minds with clarity, confidence, and character.
Ms. Pragya Chopra, the Executive Director of iLEAD, is one of the key forces driving the institute’s expansion into an innovation-driven education ecosystem. A Gold Medalist in Marketing & Systems (IIMM, Pune) with a Master’s in Business Administration (PGDA), she has been a part of iLEAD since its inception, spearheading its academic culture, campus experience, and interdisciplinary growth for students and faculty. Under her leadership, iLEAD introduced technology-led programs, experiential learning, industry collaborations, and earned prestigious recognitions, including certification from the Stanford Seed Transformation Program. She also leads multiple high-impact initiatives beyond iLEAD: Founder of Draupnir Capital Incubation Center (Entrepreneur Cell) Chief Advisor at Draupnir Capital Chief Advisor at One Hotels Collection Founder of the Laxmi Chopra Cancer Foundation Deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and student empowerment, Ms. Chopra is known for her expertise, vision, dedication, and ability to transform ideas into scalable outcomes.
