Interior design merges scientific and artistic approaches to plan, design, and execute projects for different spaces and environments, including homes, offices, institutes, and hospitals. Designers create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces through layout, construction basics, materials, furniture, color, and lighting.

Homes, offices, retail spaces, studios, hospitality, wellness, and every other sector needs designers who understand aesthetics, function, sustainability, and materials. iLEAD trains students to design spaces that balance different aspects harmoniously, with comfort and efficiency. 

Our experiential learning approach is designed to give students hands-on training and industry exposure. Students work on live design projects, model-making assignments, renovation briefs, and MAKAUT industry collaborations. With iLEAD’s AI-integrated learning, students get mentorship from experts, internships, portfolio development, and 100% placement support.

Graduates can work as interior designers across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and event design. You can become a furniture designer, exhibition designer, lighting designer, kitchen designer, architect, architectural technologist, product designer, textile designer, stylist, production designer, and more. 

The interior design department is led by Mr. Azim Danish (HOD), a designer with over 10 years of industry and academic experience. He is supported by a skilled group of professionals and faculty - Ms. Sirajum Monira, Mrs. Samreen Azizi, and Mr. Somnath Dey -  educators and practitioners with strong experience in residential, commercial, sustainable, and technical design.

Yes. The B.Sc in Interior Design at iLEAD is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).

It is a 4-year undergraduate degree with 8 semesters.

Applicants need 50% or above in Higher Secondary or equivalent exams, with English preferred. Students awaiting Class XII results may receive provisional admission based on their Creative Aptitude Test and Personal Interview performance.
