On February 4, 2023, the NSS Unit of iLEAD collaborated with the Cancer Fight Foundation in the honor of World Cancer Day to celebrate all those who have fought their own battles against cancer and emerged victorious.
The event took place in the New Auditorium from 11:30 AM onwards. The aim of the World Cancer Day is to "Close the Care Gap" i.e., a call to unite our voices and take action. With the rise in average Cancer cases every year, iLEAD decided to take the initiative to address the this and reach out and raise awareness as everyone has their own story to tell.
On the occasion, awareness was spread regarding the prevention, timely assessment and treatment of cancer. Also, the stories told about real time cancer survivors who are actual warriors who have battled against cancer encouraged the people who might currently be going through the same situation promoting empathy and providing strength and mental support.
