Team Messi The Film at iLEAD

iLead was very excited to welcome the team members of  Messi in their academic campus. The major stars of the film along with the director came to our campus for promotion of their film. They even gave valuable advice about film making to our students of media science. The star cast included Aryann Bhowmick, Chaiti Ghoshal, Rana Mitra. All the stars spoke separately about the journey of making this film. The film is named on the Argentinian soccer player Lionel Messi but the actual story is based on the interesting street soccer of Kolkata. The story revolves around the life of two brothers. The elder brother Prosun loiters with his girl friend and fixes football matches for his brother. The younger brother Chotu who wears a jersey of Messi is highly skilled in the game of football and his father's hope who was once a football coach.

Messi is basically used as a metaphor in the film where the protagonist of the film is a champion who fights all oddities of life to emerge as a football player. The film tries to explore that everyone has a champion inside him. The techniques of street football are also shown in this film and which are highly different from actual football scenario. The inspiring speeches of the crew members of the film at iLEAD campus enriched the students of digital film making course. Interactive sessions and inspirational film making experiences helps us to lay the foundation of being an ideal film making institute in India.
