iLEAD's first ever Intra College Cultural Competition 'Spotlight' was held on 30th and 31st August. It was organized by the Cultural Department of Students' Council 2018-19. The two day fest had some great events lined up for the college students as students took active participation in all the competitions. The judges of the event were the faculty members at iLEAD who were amazed to see such talented students.
The first day of the event started with amazing performances. The day became more special when iLEAD Chairman, Mr. Pradip Chopra graced the occasion and spoke about the importance of culture in India. The events lined up on 30th August were Singing, Skit and War of Rappers.
For Singing, the judges were mentors Ms Madhubanti Mitra, Ms Aradhana Das and Ms Urmimala Dey. The runners up for the singing competition was Elvis Marques Gomes and the winner was Gourab Bose.
For Skit, the teams consisted of 8 members each. The judges were mentors Mr Archan Mitra, Mr Manish Das and Ms Mrittika Ghosh. The runners up for the skit competition were Mr Arko Choudhary & Group and the winners were Mr Rohit Chokhani & Group. For War of Rappers, the judges were mentors Ms Mom Mitra, Ms Kasturi Basu and Ms Nirabori Bandhopadhyay. The runners up for the competition was Rajit Choudhary and the winner was Aditya Gupta.
The first day ended with an amazing band performance by the students.
On the 2nd day, i.e. 31st August, the first event which was held was 3 Minutes to Fame. The judges for the event were mentors Ms Madhubanti Mitra , Ms Sushmita Raha and Priyanka Jaiswal. The runners up for the competition was Rohit Chokhani and the winner was Arijit Paul.
The next event was the beat boxing competition which was judged by the mentors Mr Biswadeep Bhattacharya, Ms Kasturi Basu and Mr Manish Das. The runners up for the event was Sami Ur Rahaman and the winner was Ibrahim Ali.
The last event for the fest was the Dance competition which was judged by the mentors Ms Mom Mitra, Ms Urmimala Dey and Ms Nirabari Bandhopadhyay. The runners up for the competition was Dipankita Ghosh and the winner was Md. Shahrukh Nawaz. Added to the day was the Fashion Show by the students as the closing ceremony for the 2 day event.
