On February 23rd 2023, Mr. Hemant Mediratta, conducted a session with the students of BBA in Travel and Tourism Management. Mr. Hemant Mediratta is a leader in the tourism and hospitality industry.
He is the Founder of One Rep Global, a sales and marketing organisation that offers a 360-degree approach and bespoke solutions to luxury hotels, travel, luxury lifestyle and wellness brands. He is also the Chief Advisor of Leela Palace Hotels and Resorts, and Chief Empowerment Officer at HMC. Earlier he has worked with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts as Senior Vice President (Sales) and Director (Marketing) of Hyatt Regency, Kolkata.
He provided students insights about the prospect of the tourism industry in India. He talked about the estimated number of foreign students that may come to India in the coming years, the expected growth of the tourism industry in India, the various kinds of emerging tourism trends and destinations and more.
The session was an enlightening one for the students who learnt about the practical aspects of the tourism industry from one of the stalwarts of the industry.
