On the morning of 24th of November, iLEAD in collaboration with Bichitra Patshala, organized a workshop, conducted by popular writer and scholar Jeffrey Stanley (Fulbright Scholar Jeffrey Stanley is probably best known for his wartime stage drama TESLA'S LETTERS). The 2 day workshop on 24th and 25th November was on the craft of scripting a short fiction film. It had discussions on the basics of attracting audience attention.
Some videos were shown as an example. The participants were also taught the difference between drama and a story and how to write a proper screenplay. Formats of writing a screenplay was also taught which included use of spacious margins, fonts etc. A classroom task was assigned where the participants were assigned to write an original screenplay. They also learnt the importance of conflict in a plot and the difference between a plot and a story.
