Screening of 1971 – India`s Finest Hour at the PVR

iLEAD (Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship And Development) screened their much acclaimed documentary film ‘1971-India’s Finest Hour’ made under the production banner of iLEAD Films, on December 13th 2021 at 5:30 pm at the PVR, Mani Square Mall, Kolkata.
iLEAD had organized the screening on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of India’s victory in the war of 1971, one of the most successfully strategized war in the military history of the world.
The valor of the Indian Armed Forces in the war of 1971 for the Liberation of Bangladesh against Pakistan is documented in this film. The war had started on December 3rd and ended with Pakistan’s unconditional surrender on December 16th, 1971. Till date, December 16th is observed as ‘Vijay Diwas’ to commemorate the event. The year 2021, marks the 50th year of the extraordinary triumph that India had achieved.
“All the 3 wings of the Armed Forces, Border Security Force, the Defence Ministry, External Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry, Finance Ministry, Railways and RAW worked together like a well-oiled machine to achieve the unparalleled victory in the history of Indian Military. We have included real archived footages from that time in the documentary”, said Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman of iLEAD Foundation.
‘1971-India’s Finest Hour’ would showcase the significant events during the time that had put India in a decisive and leading position on the world podium.
“I believe it would be an informed and enlightening experience for theviewers especially today’s youth. Also, we thought this would be the best way to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces on this occasion”, concluded Mr. Pradip Chopra.
