iLEAD hosted a press conference on December 2021 at the campus for the upcoming movie Before You Die produced by iLEAD Films.
At the event, the teaser of the movie was screened for the invited journalists from respective media houses. Also, some of the behind the scenes footages were shared with the viewers.
Before You Die’s song ‘Hum Tere Ho Gaye’ that garnered more than 3 million hits on YouTube, was also showcased at the press conference. The male version of the song is sung by Jubin Nautiyal and the female (sad) version is sung by a debut singer Deepika Samant.
At the press conference, Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman of iLEAD and producer of Before You Die talked about how he discovered the new talent Deepika Samant singing at a hotel in Mumbai.
It was morning and hence the restaurant had no guests around except for the hotel staff, Pradip Chopra himself and Deepika.Deepika was getting herself ready for the live show she was booked for and while testing she coincidentally sang Mr. Chopra’s favorite song- ‘Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam’.
Pradip Chopra was elated when Deepika sang the famous alap the song follows up with. He couldn’t stop himself and complimented her immediately. The two had a long conversation about their interests in music. Before she started with her live show they also sang together ‘Dil KiNazar Se’ and had a wonderful time.
While Pradip Chopra waited at the restaurant watching her sing live, Director Suvendu Raj Ghosh arrived, and they both decided to give Deepika her debut with playback singing in their upcoming movie ‘Before You Die…’. They immediately had a meeting with the music director and got Deepika recorded. “There is nothing random, Nature/GOD/Destiny is alwayswhispering to you, all you need is the power to understandthat at the right time”, says iLEAD’s Chairman and the Writer-Producer of Before You Die, Pradip Chopra.
Pradip Chopra who believes in bringing up and motivating new talent said, “I am glad to have found an amazing talent like Deepika. It’s not just me, but few of my acquaintances and friends from the industry have also praised her and even asked me how I came across such a gifted singer”.
Deepika also performed the song live on guitar for the audience present at the press conference at iLEAD.
