Change is what everybody abhors, yet it is the only thing that brings about development. With this idea in mind, iLEAD & Funscholar organized an educational seminar on 3rd July 2015 starting at 3:30 pm at iLEAD campus in 113J Matheswartola Road. Kolkata - 700046. The seminar was attended by more than 50 principals, owners and teachers of various ICSE, CBSE and West Bengal Board reputable schools in Kolkata such as Ballygunge Shikha Sadan, Grace Ling Liang English School, National High School for boys, Vidyanjali International School, GEMS Akademia International School, etc
The seminar on "Audio Visual/experiential learning and Robotics in school" kicked off with a welcome address by Mr. Pradip Chopra, the Chairman of ILEAD and PS Group. Mr. Chopra also delivered a session on "The Importance of Audio Visual/Experiential learning". Next, Ms. Satabdi G. Bhattacharjee, Principal of The Newtown School spoke about "The Importance of Experiential Learning in Schools".
Later, Mr. Rajib Basu, Partner, Risk Consulting Practice, KPMG gave a session on "Need for Technical Skill Development in School Students" while Mr. Sagar Sanghvi the director of Robokidz Eduventures Pvt. Ltd concluded the technical session on "Robotics in School"
During the event, Funscholar sensitized the audience about its aim to strengthen the fraternity of principals with great ideals and concrete plans of action through its various programs. The association also laid emphasis on its co-curricular activities, new concepts, innovative technologies and new methods of teaching and reiterated their willingness to extend support to the staff and students of the affiliated schools.
Other topics covered during the seminar were STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education, Hands-on-learning and Robotics knowledge collaboration among schools. The seminar concluded with a Q & A session and High Tea.
