Murshidabad Heritage Conclave 2022

On November 24th and 25th 2022, iLEAD hosted the Murshidabad Heritage Conclave. Organized by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) in association with Murshidabad Heritage Development Society and iLEAD, the conclave was attended by students from various institutions including iLEAD. Some of the eminent guests at the conclave were Mr. Darshan Dudhoria (Owner of Bari Kothi Heritage Hotel at Azimganj, Murshidabad), Mr. Sandip Nowlakha (Chairman of Shri Shristi Advisory Services), Mr. Sashikant Nowlakha (Author of the book 'The Nowlakha Family Book'), Dr. Saikat Maitra (Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT), Dr. P.K. Mishra (Director of Heritage Cell, MAKAUT), Mr. Pradip Chopra (Chairman of PS Group and iLEAD), Dr. Tapash Ranjan Saha (Director, Institute of Management Studies). The 2 day event witnessed cultural program, exhibition of historical artifacts and food stall with exclusive sheherwali cuisine from Murshidabad. Guests at the event also through their speeches took students through the rich history of Murshidabad, the region that once produced 5% of the entire world’s GDP. The walls of the auditorium of iLEAD were also decorated with facts and figures citing the royal culture and heritage features of Murshidabad. The eminent Jain families of Murshidabad, whose forefathers contributed to the affluence of the district also shared their knowledge and experience with the present audience.
