On 9th November 2024, the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Development” or iLEAD witnessed the “Voice Box” program organised by the Media Science Department in collaboration with Netflix, NFDC and Pearl Academy at the Dale Carnegie Auditorium. The event offered a unique platform for aspiring voice artists to showcase their talent and gain hands-on experience in the art of voice-over.
The program welcomed esteemed guests, including Mr. Sanjib Das, Executive Director at GTTI, and Mr. Viren Basoya, a distinguished voice actor. Their presence added great value to the event, inspiring participants to explore lucrative opportunities in the voice-over industry.
The event focused on practical learning, where participants performed voice-over acts for animation films, thereby gaining valuable insights into industry standards. With the support of Netflix, NFDC, and Pearl Academy, the event aimed to identify and nurture promising voice talents across multiple colleges, including iLEAD. In the event, Mr Das played a pivotal role in driving their vision towards voice-over and encouraging them to enhance their career paths in the industry.
It was a proud moment for iLEAD when Kingshuk Ghosh, a final-year Media Science student, was recognized as the Best Voice Performer. Kingshuk received the certificate of excellence, marking a significant milestone for his future career prospects in the industry.
The workshop was truly engaging and enthusiastic for participants, allowing them to learn the nuances of voice-over with creativity and precision. The collaboration between top industry leaders and reputed educational institutions highlighted the potential of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional opportunities.
