The youth film festival and photography competition, iLEAD-O-Scope 2019, presented by iLEAD in association with 'hoichoi' took place at the iLEAD campus on February 23rd 2019.
The theme of this year's iLEAD-O-Scope had been 'Kindness of Strangers'. Director Soumik Chatterjee of Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2 fame attended the inaugural ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
The photography rounds were judged by renowned photographers Suprotin Nandi who is also a speaker at UNESCO and Swastik Pal, whose works are published in the Sunday Guardian, Times of India, The Indian Express, BBC, Al Jazeera among others.
The filmmaking rounds were judged by film, television and theatre actor Apratim Chatterjee and editor Indranil Das.
The event was open to both school and college students. The schools that participated in the competition are Agrasain Balika Shiksha Sadan, Akshar School, Andhra Association High School and South City International School.
Notable colleges that took part include Amity University, Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Heritage Academy, IIBS, Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College and JDBI Main.
The award ceremony of the event was also attended by the team of the upcoming Bengali film 'The Hacker'. The leading face of the movie Aryann Bhowmick, director Siddhartha Sen and story writer Alok Agarwal talked about the film and also later handed over the awards to the winners and runner ups.
The categories were divided into photography and filmmaking (School) and photography and filmmaking (College). The runner ups and winners at the award ceremony included -
