iLEAD celebrated the event of the Bengali New Year with much pomp and glory. The new Bengali year of 1429 was welcomed through the event of ‘Esho Hay Baishakh’ on April 13th 2022 at the campus organized by the Cultural Club in collaboration with the Culinary Club and the Alumni Club.
A Newsletter, The iLEADERS, an initiative by the Media Science Department, was launched during this event. The newsletter included all the important events that took place around iLEAD or the education sector during the month. The Newsletter is edited by Ms. Debabani Mukherjee (HOD, Media Science), sub-edited by Sana Nawaz (Student of M.Sc in Media Science), supervised by Mr. Ankan Roy (Faculty) and Annesh Bilas Thakur (Faculty), designed by Ankan Ghosh and Shreoshi Saha.
The cultural events consisted of Recitation by Sayan Halder, Dance by Auishani Roy and Sneha Dutta, Singing by Gourob Dey and Shirshendu Paul.
Also, Ms Debabani Mukherjee, Head of the Department (Media Science), took to the stage and recited a poem.
A make up session was also organized wherein students showcased their talents in the field of makeup.
The event also included a culinary round wherein students served delicious dishes of momos, rosogolla, cakes, cupcakes, chaats and various kinds of sweets.
