Empowering Minds: iLEAD Students Make Their Mark at the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival

The prestigious Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival 2025 conducted at Allen Park witnessed an inspiring collaboration with the students of iLEAD College who played a crucial role as volunteers and interns. This literary extravaganza gave leverage to our students with unparalleled opportunities that celebrated knowledge, creativity, and intellectual discourse to engage with some of the finest minds in the world of literature, publishing, and media.

Students from iLEAD actively participated in different capacities, gaining real-world exposure in event planning, media coordination, and public relations. As volunteers and interns, they assisted in managing panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings, and interactive sessions working closely with guests such as Ms. Usha Iyer Uthu, an Indian pop singer, Ms. Shenaz Treasurywala, renowned actress, travel vlogger, and author, Mr. Shyam Benegal, a leading Indian director of nonmainstream Hindi cinema, MR. M. K. Raina, an Indian theatre actor and director, Mr. Milind Usha Soman, Indian actor and fitness enthusiast and MR. Mani Shankar Aiyar, an Indian politician.

Students were allowed to perform in backstage coordination, logistics management, and guest handling. Journalism students got the opportunity to conduct interviews with distinguished guests and report live updates from the festival. Digital marketing enthusiasts also created engaging content, live-streamed key sessions, and handled social media promotions for the event.

At iLEAD, we believe in experimental learning beyond classrooms, and AKLF 2025 proved to be a perfect stage for our students to apply their knowledge in a live atmosphere. They honed their communication skills, enhanced their event management capabilities, and strengthened their networking abilities while working alongside professionals from top publishing houses, media organizations, and literary circles.
