Dawat- E -Rang 2018 at iLEAD

Dawat E Rang is one of the unique endeavors to celebrate the festival of colors- Holi through a food fest and competition at iLEAD. The event was organized by the students of the institute in the roof top area of the 2nd campus. The event is a visual and gastronomic treat for all food lovers through some exquisite food and beverage items representing rich culinary tradition of our country. The judges for the event were iLEAD chairman- Mr. Pradip Chopra and iLEAD's Executive director- Ms. Pragya Chopra . The BMS 4A batch had the theme Aaj Kal Zindagi where they presented the food item dealing with Mint Masti and Fries Chat. The BMS 2B presented Quick Bitez. The BBA 4B had the theme Rangele Rockstar in which they presented colorful chat with fruit sharbat. The BMS 4B prepared Chatpata Papar cones. Dawate lassi was also presented as an item by BMS 2A.

The champions of the event were BBA 4B while the second position was attained by BMS 2B. The participants were evaluated by the judges on four distinct grounds which included- Presentation, Taste, Theme and Hygiene. Each section had 5 marks allotted within it. The grand total was ascertained according to the marks received in each of the sections. iLEAD chairman Mr. Pradip Chopra presented the winners certificate and appreciated the effort put on by all the participating teams. He stressed on the aspect of blending both taste and innovation in the food item presented during the competition. Mr. Chopra even praised the innovative idea of using ice cream boxes for processing ingredients in preparing a food item. There was also the facility for the audience to take food coupon and taste the unique delicacies presented by them.

The atmosphere of the event was electrifying where the students were excited about making the judges taste the preparation made by them. Music, fun and frolic prevailed in the atmosphere which was indicative of the arrival of the festive mood of Holi. The event ended by wishing all the participants and the audience an enjoyable festival of colors and an eager waiting for the Dawat e Rang of the next year.
