On 7th September 2024, the management club of iLEAD organized an event on “SPORTS-A tool for overall growth”. The session highlighted the potential of “sports” as a tool for personal development, community building and addressing global issues at the old auditorium from noon. The esteemed speaker of the session was Jupiter Dalai, Tournament Director & Head (business development at East India Pickleball).
The session showcased the importance of mental health, dedication, confidence and self-esteem for sports professionals as sports management, a combination of business acumen. He also explains sustainable event management to bring more green initiatives in sports and create an eco-friendly environment. During the session, participants were introduced to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the first stadium in the world to receive the prestigious Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) Platinum certification, recognized globally for its commitment to zero waste initiatives. He shared his career journey in sports management and motivated them with his knowledge towards participants’ future careers. He advised participants to concentrate on the sustainable objectives established by the United Nations and to prioritize inclusivity among management personnel to enhance the social value of sports management.
The session proved to be exceptionally motivating and uplifting, instilling in students a strong sense of self-confidence and enthusiasm for pursuing a career in the field of sports management in the future.
