iLEADs Secret Santa Campaign for people of Tiljala Shed
Event Date:
January 3, 2017
There's nothing like ending the year on a good note. The feel-good factor persists long after New Year has been ushered. Precisely, that's what iLEAD did in association with Tiljala Shed after employees became part of the Secret Santa Campaign for the year 2016-2017.
A small Christmas decoration adorned the office, right before the reception area. Just beside that were few sledge shaped donation boxes, where employees could keep their gifts. From wearables like old garments including woolen sweaters, cardigans and mufflers to basic utility items as toiletries, stationeries and foods, employees donated heartily over a period of 10 days. However, the only condition was that clothes had to be in wearable forms and other commodities' manufacturing dates checked thoroughly.
Basically, 'Secret Santa' is a fairly Western concept that most individuals and communities observe as a part of the tradition of Christmas. The joy of gifting and sharing is such that only after the gift-giver has taken part in the activity, does he/she realize the satisfaction gained from it. The ritual is popular in nations like US, UK and Canada, but Indians have embraced the same.
iLEAD's 'Secret Santa Campaign' is fairly new, but after witnessing the tremendous response from employees, one can certainly vouch for the fact that the ritual will continue every year.
The campaign came to an end after most employees visited Tiljala Shed along with Chairman, Mr. Pradip Chopra and Executive Director, Ms. Pragya Chopra to become a part of the noble deed on 4th January, 2017.
There's no doubt that the people, including children of Tiljala Shed will cherish the moments and gifts they received from iLEAD throughout their lives. But the best part about the campaign is the joy of reaching out to people; who unfortunately haven't been blessed with the bounties of the world.
