  • Prof Thakur has been associated with iLEAD since January 2021. Prior to this position he was working as Assistant Professor and Teacher-in-Charge of Media Studies at Pailan College of Management & Technology, Kolkata.
  • He has been teaching full time in Media Studies and Film Studies programs since 2015, and has taught papers like Film Studies, Advertising & Public Relations, Current Affairs, Media Laws and Ethics etc.
  • Prof. Thakur has been a media professional in Kolkata for over 10 years now and aims to enrich the classroom hours with the knowledge gathered from his fieldwork as well as his areas of theoretical research.

  • As a PR professional, I have handled multiple corporate and film clients including Oscar Winning Film Director – Megan Mylan during 20th Annual Kolkata International Film Festival (2014)
  • Directed a short film named “Telephone” (2008), based on a short story by Late Sri Satyajit Ray; endorsed in principle by Sri Sandip Ray who graciously signed a N.O.C. The film won the Second Prize at the “Bon Jour India” Short Film Festival (2009-2010) organized by French Embassy and subsequently got access to Cannes Film Festival in May 2010
