Workshop on Influencer Marketing

<p>On August 30th 2019, the iLEAD Social Media Club organized its first ever event on 'Influencer Marketing'.</p> <p>The interactive session had Mr. Indrajit Lahiri (An Entrepreneur, Founder ofPickle Solutions Pvt Ltd, Snappho Photography Services LLP and is seen in the 'Foodka' series on YouTube), MsPoorna Banerjee (blogger, social media influencer, restaurant consultant and food critic) and Mr. Suprotim Nandi (An eminent photographer, curated as India's top 20 photographers by celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani) on the dais speaking on various topics related to social media and influencer marketing.</p> <p>&#160;Mr. Suprotim Nandi spoke about 'How Instagram/Social Media Has Impacted Photography'. He also talked about Instagram features, pattern of posting hashtags, bots and tracking engagement.</p> <p>&#160;Mr. Indrajit Lahiri conducted his session speaking about 'How Digital Entrepreneurship Can Help You Monetize Your Passion'. He addressed the students specifying about the difference between an influencer and a celebrity. He also spoke about importance of keywords and SEO.</p> <p>&#160;Ms Poorna Banerjee spoke on 'How To Build Network For Influencer Marketing'. She talked in length about maintaining honesty, integrity and truth while writing a sponsored post on Instagram or on blogs.</p> <p>Some of the in house influencers at iLEAD namely Sayantani Sarkar (BMS 2019-22), Debanjali Das (BMS 2019-22), Debasmita Saha (BMS 2017-20) and Jayshree Roy (BMS 2017-20) also went up to the stage and shared their experiences so far.</p> <p>Students present in the audience too were seen asking questions to the panelists about how to increase social media followers, how to earn from social media marketing and how to avoid a shadowban on Instagram.</p>
