Team Avijatrik at iLEAD

On November 19 2021, the makers of the Bengali film ‘Avijatrik’ visited the iLEAD campus for an interactive session with the students. Avijatrik marks the return of Bengali’s favorite character ‘Apu’ after almost 60 years. The film takes off from where Satyajit Ray had completed ‘Apur Sansar’.
Director Subhrajit Mitra, Producer Gaurang Jalan, Editor Sujay Datta Roy, Actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Singer Ujjaini Mukherjee presided over the event.
Subhrajit Mitra, director of Avijatrik, took questions from students and replied to their queries about making, scripting and locations of Avijatrik. He also gave his inputs on the rich art and culture of India.
Editor Sujay Datta Roy mentioned the unique ways of editing the movie as it was set in the 1940s and is a complete back and white movie made in the era of 2021.
Veteran actor Sabyashachi Chakraborty took queries about art, literature and culture.
Singer Ujjaini Mukherjee hummed a song from the film and also shared about her experience of working in the movie.
The event also screened the trailer and a few notable sequences from the movie for the students.
