iLEAD witnessed the celebration of the legacy of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. On the occasion of the 163rd birthday of the literary maestro, Rabindranath Tagore, the Cultural Club in collaboration with the Academics & Literary Club arranged a grand celebration on May 8th, 2024 at the New Auditorium of iLEAD.
The entire celebration was a captivating journey of music, dance, poetry, and literature. The celebration started with an opening speech by one of the club members and a recitation from Gitanjali, one of the greatest collections of poems by Tagore. The afternoon filled with art and culture unfolded with melodious singing and graceful dance performances by the talented change makers of iLEAD.
The event came to an end with a soulful chorus singing by all the present mentonrs where they sang ‘Hey Nutan’ one of the popular songs written by Tagore. Besides, the mentors shared their invaluable thoughts and lesser-known facts on Rabindranath Tagore. Some of the faculty members paid tribute by singing and reciting some songs and poems written by the Bengali polymath.
Rabindranath Tagore will always reside there in our hearts, and his legacy continues to inspire and unite us all.
