On 26th of April 2019, iLEAD launched its online knowledge sharing platform, www.schoollearningresources.com, amidst the presence of principals and teachers from eminent schools of Kolkata like The Heritage School, South City International School, Albany Hall Public School, Loreto Day School, National English School, Vidyanjali High School and more.
iLEAD had aimed to create a modern day equipped E-classroom for the school teachers and students keeping in mind the new age teaching methods and needs. School Learning Resources provides audio visual and online written content on all the subjects and topics covering major portion of the school curriculum.
The event was presided by Prof. Saikat Maitra, Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology (MAKAUT) and Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman of iLEAD.
Prof. Saikat Maitra talked about how advancement in technology has paved way for gender neutrality in the work space of many sectors where women employees were much less in number before. He also talked about the impact of robotics and automation in our lives.
Mr. Pradip Chopra spoke on the importance of self learning, activity based learning and about democratizing the learning process for the students. He extensively talked about providing a pool of comprehensive online resource in the form of www.schoollearningresources.com to the present tech savvy generation of students. He encouraged creation of exclusive content for the platform and a seamless connection with schools to enhance the learning experience of the students.
Ms Mom Mitra, head of the web team and faculty of Media Science at iLEAD, introduced the audience to the portal of school learning resources and familiarized them with the content, browsing and usage of the portal. She also invited feedback from the present audience and engaged into an interactive session with them about improvising the portal.
Mr. Sounok Ghosh, Co-Founder and Director of Einfach Business Analytics Pvt. Ltd, talked about the significance of analytics, data science and artificial intelligence in today’s world. He spoke how a formal education on the same is required to create the right kind of future professionals and to execute projects. He also proposed the idea of taking Artificial Intelligence to the school level by conducting workshops on the same for students ranging from 8th to 11th standard.
