He has completed his postgraduation from CEPT UNIVERSITY,one of the old and prestigious University of Asia based in Ahmedabad,Gujarat. As a scholar he wrote his thesis paper “Light and the making of ineffable Sacred Spaces” under Prof. Srivathsan( former Academic director of CEPT and a Critics of Hindu Times). He was the part of prestigious summerschool conducted by CEPT and SPA-DELHI. As a postgraduate student he has presented his documentation work in PWD,Himachal. He completed his B.Arch from PILOO MODY COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE and was the GSEN TRPOHY co-ordinator of NASA(National Association of the Student of Architecture).
As a social enthusiasts Ar.Arkadeep Roy is currently a part of the INTBAU(international network on Traditional Building & Urbanism)-Iran chapter. He was mostly involved with the documentation work and socio-cultural analysis of the historic towns and cities of Iran. His individual documentation work got exhibited in Tehran University. From his past experience as a Junior Architect of COSTFORD, one of the legendary architectural organisation of INDIA(Kerala), Arkadeep Roy got motivated towards alternative construction and material techniques for the reconstruction and restructuring of the old traditional architectural buildings of various places and Iran is his latest architectural expedition work.
As a motivator Arkadeep Roy has started as a collaborator with a young organisation called Rhizomorph where he is conducting workshops and seminars and gradually promoting Architectural Tourism. He is also a partner of his own design consultancy cell of Kolkata and he is involved with interior design and construction management.
