From Creativity to Stardom – iLEAD’s Moment of Glory at Umang 2024

Umang 2024, the annual inter-college festival organized by The Bhawanipur Education Society College, was a magnificent celebration of talent, culture, and creativity. Taking place from December 25th to 29th, 2024, the festival featured more than 80 events spanning various categories, including performing arts, fine arts, literary arts, sports, gaming, and management, attracting students from across Eastern India to demonstrate their abilities.

This year’s theme, "AI or I: The Battle Within," explored the interplay between artificial intelligence and human identity, inspiring thought-provoking performances and discussions.

Amid this vibrant atmosphere, Team iLEAD delivered outstanding performances, bagging multiple awards and accolades:

1.1st Runner-Up in Fashion Show: Department of fashion design
2.Winners in Short Film: Department of Film & Media Science
3.Pratishka Dey: Winner of Doodle a Day & 2nd Runner-Up in Face Painting
4.Kashish Agarwal, Bismita Saha, Barsharani Mahapatra: Winners of Vibrance of India – Festival Marketing Challenges
5.Sneha Sardar: 1st Runner-Up in Cosplay & 3rd Place in Folktale Fusion
6.Rakshika Singh: Miss Umang 2nd Runner-Up
7.Arghadeep Banerjee: 2nd Position in "What If" (Literary Event)
8.Barsharani Mahapatra: 2nd Position in English Creative Writing

The festival reached its crescendo with an electrifying live concert by the legendary Padmashri Kailash Kher and his band KAILASA on December 29th at Northern Park. Their soulful melodies left the audience enthralled.

Umang 2024 once again cemented its place as one of Eastern India’s largest and most prestigious inter-college festivals, offering students a platform to exhibit their talents, foster collaboration, and celebrate cultural diversity.
