A one-day trip to “Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Private Limited” plant in Dankuni was organised by iLEAD on March 22, 2017. The visit was planned for BBA (semester-six) students. They were accompanied by the faculty-coordinators of iLEAD. After an introductory session, a representative from HR briefed students about company’s history, rules and guidelines. The industry visit to Coca-Cola was all-together an enriching experience for our students.
A trip to Taaza TV, the only national Hindi news channel operating from east India, was a watershed for students during their course at iLEAD. Students had hands-on training on news production and distribution formats. They were also given lessons on the role of a reporter, ways to interpret and study news and much more. For this year and years to come, the trip Taaza TV would be valued among all iLEAD students.
A visit to Red FM’s office in Kolkata was a fun-filled experience for our media science students. At the Red FM studio, production head Rai Sengupta gave our students a lesson on the history of radio and its evolution. Students were also taken to Live recording studios and shown how they functioned. RJ Pravin, RJ Deb and RJ Nilam interacted with our students and shared their experiences at Red FM
All India Radio (AIR), which has captured history for almost 90 years, is a must-visit for media students in Kolkata. iLEAD arranged a field trip for its media students to AIR, where they got a first-hand experience of a mock radio programme and witnessed the process of live interview broadcasting techniques, recording and editing of music programmes and so on.
iLEAD organised a rare visit for its students to the Bengal Beverages Pvt Ltd plant in Dankuni so that they understand the production of commercial products. Accompanied by three faculty members, the students had an amazing first-hand experience. The plant has 600 employees and two units — one for carbonated soft drinks and other for fruit juices. The students were also shown the eight levels of water purification.
